Comments from Professor Tracey Bywater
The book is nicely illustrated and I understand that it forms a discussion piece and therefore does not include more context such as why mummy is angry. I assume this is what will be discussed with toddlers. It is important that nursery workers are able to discuss feelings in a non-judgemental way with toddlers.
Kaiyo learns to forgive

Can we go out to play?
by R M Price-Mohr
It is raining and the children in kindergarten can't go out to play. Their toy pirate ship has been condemned and roped off as unsafe to play on. Instead, the children invent a game of imagining the most amazing children's playground, with a giant swing, a giant roundabout, a giant climbing frame, and of course a fantastical pirate ship.
The children in the story make up or combine known words to give fantastical names to their imagined ideas. This word play will strengthen children's understanding of how written language works and how much fun it can be to make up your own words.
